Tteokbokki - Dinner recipe

Ingredients

  • • 1 lb Korean rice cakes (tteok)
  • • 4 cups anchovy or kelp broth
  • • 3 tablespoons gochujang
  • • 1 tablespoon gochugaru
  • • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • • 4 fish cakes, sliced (optional)
  • • 2 boiled eggs
  • • 2 green onions, chopped
  • • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Step 1: If rice cakes are frozen or dried, soak in warm water until soft.
  2. Step 2: Bring broth to a boil in a wide pan or pot.
  3. Step 3: Add gochujang, gochugaru, sugar, and soy sauce. Stir to dissolve.
  4. Step 4: Add rice cakes and fish cakes. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Step 5: Add boiled eggs and cook until sauce thickens and coats the rice cakes.
  6. Step 6: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
