Ingredients
- • 1 lb ground pork
- • 1 lb pork belly, thinly sliced
- • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
- • 2 tablespoons sugar
- • 4 cloves garlic, minced
- • 1 shallot, minced
- • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- • 8 oz rice vermicelli noodles
- • Nuoc cham dipping sauce
- • Fresh lettuce, herbs, and pickled vegetables
Instructions
- Step 1: Mix ground pork with half the fish sauce, sugar, garlic, and shallot. Form into small patties.
- Step 2: Marinate pork belly slices with remaining fish sauce, sugar, garlic, and shallot.
- Step 3: Grill or broil pork patties and belly slices until charred and cooked through.
- Step 4: Cook rice vermicelli according to package, drain and rinse with cold water.
- Step 5: Prepare nuoc cham: mix fish sauce, water, lime juice, sugar, garlic, and chili.
- Step 6: Serve pork in the dipping sauce bowl. Eat with noodles, lettuce, and herbs.
