- • 3 cups all-purpose flour
- • 1 teaspoon sugar
- • 1 teaspoon salt
- • 1 teaspoon baking powder
- • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- • 1/4 cup yogurt
- • 1/4 cup warm milk
- • 1 egg
- • 2 tablespoons oil
- • 1/2 cup warm water
- • Melted butter and garlic for brushing
- • Fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Step 2: Add yogurt, milk, egg, and oil. Gradually add water, knead into soft dough.
- Step 3: Cover and let rest for 1-2 hours until doubled.
- Step 4: Divide into 8 balls. Roll each into an oval shape.
- Step 5: Heat a cast iron skillet or tawa on high heat.
- Step 6: Cook naan until bubbles form, flip and cook other side until charred spots appear.
- Step 7: Brush with garlic butter and cilantro. Serve warm.
