Ingredients
- • 4 boneless chicken breasts, pounded thin
- • 1 cup all-purpose flour
- • 2 eggs, beaten
- • 1 1/2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
- • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- • 2 cups marinara sauce
- • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- • 1/4 cup olive oil
- • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- • Fresh basil for garnish
- • Salt and pepper to taste
- • Spaghetti for serving
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 425°F. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Step 2: Set up a breading station: flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan and Italian seasoning in a third.
- Step 3: Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Step 4: Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Pan-fry chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
- Step 5: Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast. Top generously with shredded mozzarella.
- Step 6: Transfer skillet to oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly and chicken reaches 165°F internally.
- Step 7: Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Serve chicken Parmesan over pasta, garnished with fresh basil.
