Ingredients

  • • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • • 1 cup ice-cold water
  • • 1 egg
  • • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • • 1 bunch green onions, cut into 3-inch pieces
  • • 1/2 cup mixed seafood (shrimp, squid) optional
  • • Vegetable oil for frying
  • • Soy dipping sauce with vinegar and chili

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Mix flours, water, egg, and salt until smooth batter forms.
  2. Step 2: Heat a generous amount of oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Step 3: Arrange green onions in the pan, add seafood if using.
  4. Step 4: Pour batter over the onions to cover evenly.
  5. Step 5: Cook until bottom is golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Flip carefully, press down, cook another 3 minutes until crispy.
  7. Step 7: Cut into wedges and serve with soy dipping sauce.
