Ingredients
- • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, sliced thin
- • 1/4 cup soy sauce
- • 1/4 cup calamansi juice (or lemon juice)
- • 4 cloves garlic, minced
- • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- • 3 large onions, sliced into rings
- • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- • 1/2 cup water
- • Salt to taste
- • Steamed rice for serving
Instructions
- Step 1: Marinate beef in soy sauce, calamansi juice, garlic, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
- Step 2: Heat oil in a pan. Fry onion rings until caramelized. Remove and set aside.
- Step 3: In the same pan, fry marinated beef in batches until browned.
- Step 4: Pour in the marinade and water. Simmer for 10 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Step 5: Top with caramelized onions.
- Step 6: Serve hot with steamed rice.
