Ingredients
- • 2 cups cabbage, shredded
- • 1 cup flour
- • 1/2 cup dashi or water
- • 2 eggs
- • 4 strips bacon
- • 1/4 cup tenkasu (tempura scraps)
- • 2 green onions, chopped
- • Okonomiyaki sauce
- • Japanese mayonnaise
- • Bonito flakes
- • Aonori (dried seaweed flakes)
Instructions
- Step 1: Mix flour, dashi, and 1 egg to make batter.
- Step 2: Fold in cabbage, tenkasu, and half the green onions.
- Step 3: Heat a griddle or large pan over medium heat with a little oil.
- Step 4: Pour half the batter, shape into a circle. Top with 2 bacon strips.
- Step 5: Cook 4-5 minutes until bottom is golden. Flip carefully and cook another 4-5 minutes.
- Step 6: Make a small well, crack an egg on top, flip again to cook egg.
- Step 7: Top with okonomiyaki sauce, mayo, bonito flakes, aonori, and remaining green onions.
